Back in the days when alternative rock really was quite alternative, Jonathan Donahue left the Flaming Lips to set up Mercury Rev. The first song on their first album was Chasing A Bee... "their pretty shells are so inviting, well-protected, their eyes are rivers, they give me shivers"... and so on.
