Eight years after his wife is murdered by a serial killer, a doctor starts receiving emails that suggest she might be alive. And now the police think he killed her. And there are lots of people hanging around looking dodgy. Plenty of chases and twists and turns. IMDB

I read this a couple of years ago - a pretty good read and obviously cinematic so I'm not surprised it's been made into a film.
I've seen this - the only thing you negelct to mention is that it is in French with subtitles....
That aside it's a really good film which is pretty true to the book. Harlan Coben is one of my fave authors - everyone should read him - epecially the early stuff!
